Weyburn team tournament champs

The Weyburn Peewee Legion boys' hockey team were the A-side champions at the Saskatoon Aces Peewee III tournament on January 14 to 16. A total of 16 teams from across the province participated in the tournament.Game one featured round robin play.

The Weyburn Peewee Legion boys' hockey team were the A-side champions at the Saskatoon Aces Peewee III tournament on January 14 to 16. The team members are, in back (l-r), Eric Schlosser, Coach Todd Hastings, Josh Borys, Alexander Luhtala, Kyle Martin, Coach Trevor Schmidt, Mackenzie Bacon, and Dawson Alexander. In centre are Cayler Johnston, Colton Hill, Carson Colquhoun, Cole Hastings, Alex Hicks, Cody Moser, Logan Frison, Gage Marshall, and Mason Tyhy. In front are goalies Hunter Dugan and Graham Schmidt. Cole Hastings was named "Hustler" of the game.Game two was an "A" Quarterfinal Game, where Weyburn played Saskatoon ExplosiveAces winning 10-1. Kyle Martin was named "Hustler" of the game.In the semi-finals, Weyburn played Saskatoon Phantom Flyers winning 4-2. Graham Schmidtwas named "Hustler" of the game.In the "A" final, Weyburn played Saskatoon Renegade Redbulls winning 7-6. Dawson Alexander was named "Hustler" of the game. The Weyburn Peewee Legion team plays in the SEMHL league with teams from Estevan, Radville, Yellow Grass, Bienfait, Stoughton, and Bengough/Coronach.
