Photos: A Miracle on Fourth Street in Estevan

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Downtown Business Association hosted its first-ever Miracle on Fourth Street event on Saturday.

The 1100 and 1200 blocks of Fourth Street were shut down to vehicles for several hours, so that people could enjoy the activities on a beautiful December day.

Hot dogs and hot chocolate were served in front of the Tower Café. Other highlights included sleigh rides, a petting zoo, crafts and carnival games.

Two free matinees, sponsored by Coldwell Banker Choice Real Estate, were shown at the Orpheum Theatre: The Polar Express and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Businesses on Fourth Street had in-store specials during the day to give people another reason to tackle their Christmas shopping locally.

Next week's edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.
