Harry Kapusianyk left us November 23, 2011, one day before his 84th birthday.

Harry was predeceased by his his parents, Lucas and Tillie; sister, Mary Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law. Harry is survived by his loving wife Norma, Weyburn; his sons: Dr. David (Leslie) Kapusianyk and their children, Landon and Taryn, Vancouver, BC, Brian (Deborah) Kapusianyk and their children, Kendra and Taylor, Calgary, AB; his daughter, Cheryl (Jay) Soleway and their sons, Riley, Jake and Jedd, Vernon, BC; brother, Mike Kapusianyk, Glidden; brother-in-law, Maurice (Marilyn) Dickson, Rivers, MB along with several nieces and nephews. Harry was born November 24, 1927, to parents Lucas and Tekla at Glidden. Harry completed one year of teacher training in Saskatoon and began a 35 year career of teaching. He completed his Bachelor of Education by attending summer classes and one full year at the University of Sask., Saskatoon in 1967-1968. In 1955, he married Norma and they moved to Weyburn in August 1958 with two sons, David and Brian. A daughter, Cheryl, completed the family in April 1962. At the Weyburn Comprehensive School, Harry taught a variety of subjects, ending with teaching the trades classes, until his retirement in June 1982. Harry enjoyed 57 years with the Independant order of Oddfellows, where he became Grand Master of Saskatchewan in 1993-1994. He volunteered as official score keeper and public address announcer for the Weyburn Redwings from 1962-1992; attained level of Gold Judge and a Canadian level Senior Computer Accountant for figure skating. As his health began to fail him, Harry filled his days assembling his postage stamp collection which gave him much pleasure. A funeral service for Harry will be held on Saturday, December 10 at 2:00 p.m. from Grace United Church, Weyburn with Rev. M. Barnabas, officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Members of the Oddfellows & Rebekahs Club. Lunch to follow service in upper Grace Hall. Interment will be held at a later date.
