Mary Josephine Krumenacker (nee Haas), late of McTaggart, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Mary was born on December 12, 1921 in the Grayson area.

Mary Josephine Krumenacker (nee Haas), late of McTaggart, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Mary was born on December 12, 1921 in the Grayson area. She taught school before marrying Joseph Krumenacker on June 25, 1947. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary in 2010. Mom was an active participant on their grain and livestock farm and was involved in many activities for community, church and family. Some of these included, The United Way, the Weyburn School of Dance, Ladies Altar Society. She served countless banquet and funeral lunches and was always there to support her children in music lessons, dance classes, 4-H, Guides, Scouts and a variety of sports. Mom had a special love of nature and she mended many a wounded animal that her children brought home. She enjoyed writing poetry and was a gifted artist when she found the time. Mom left a legacy of her skills with her children. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Helen Haas; her husband of 63 years, Joseph; son, Andrew Krumenacker; great grandson, Kohler Moore; nephew, Roy Loos; sisters and brothers, Ann Baer (Henry), Frank Haas, John Haas, Alice Haas, Katherine Exner, Emily (Art) Mallory, Marg (Joe) Chastkavich and infant brother, Joseph; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (John) Loos, Sue (Bill) Chambers, Beth (Jim) Campbell, Lena (Frank) Loos, Ann (Bob) Johnson and Margaret (Bill) Sommers. Mary is survived by her three children: Mona-Maria Krumenacker (Randy Steinhauer), Val Joseph Krumenacker and Joanne (Gary) Domes; five grandchildren, Rebekah Jo (Jason) Moore and Nigel Domes, Nicole, Kimberley and Jillian Krumenacker; seven great grandchildren, Zayne and Gage Domes; Ayden, Levi, Grayson, Marren and Koah Moore; brothers, Victor Haas, Jack (Caroline) Haas and Bill (Marg) Haas; sisters-in-law, Helen Haas and Ann Haas; brother-in-law, Michael (Rose) Krumenacker as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Prayers for Mary were said on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 8:00 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The funeral mass was celebrated by Father Gerry Bauche on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 1:30 PM, also at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Weyburn. Interment followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn. The family of the late Mary Josephine Krumenacker (nee Haas) wish to express their gratitude to everyone who extended their sympathy at the loss of our mother. For supporting us with cards, calls, flowers, food, monetary donations or masses in her memory, attending the funeral service or sharing hugs and tears, we are so very grateful. Thank you to Fletcher's Funeral Chapel, Father Gerry, the choir, the luncheon caterer's, the Pallbearers and Brady's House of Flowers for all their help in organizing a beautiful service. Thanks also to Tatagwa View House 7 for your compassionate care of our mother and your efforts daily to all the residents in your care. As always, to Donna Loos, our unending love and gratitude. You have always been a vital presence in mom and dad's lives, and always had their best interests at heart. You have always shown them as much love, dignity and respect as you would your own parents.
