Wanda Marie Leveille

1956 ~ 2017
Wanda Marie Leveille

Wanda Marie Leveille passed away peacefully Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 61 years. Wanda was predeceased by her father, James “Jim” Mann. Wanda Marie Leveille, daughter of Jim and Eileen Mann, was born in Gainsborough, SK, on June 7, 1956. She grew up on the family farm, enjoying many adventures with her four younger brothers and the cousins, who were more like her sisters, who lived just across the road. Wanda was an excellent student. Wanda attended elementary school at St. Thomas School in Storthoaks and graduated from Carnduff High School in 1974. She worked in Brandon, MB, for a short time, before moving to Weyburn to work at Souris Valley. She also worked briefly at the hospital in Midale, before returning to her job at Souris Valley. Wanda was a beautiful, caring, and compassionate soul. She truly loved her job and the people whose lives she touched. Wanda’s children, Tracy and Travis, brought much light and love to her life. She was so proud of them. Tracy and Camden’s daughter, Rayya, filled the past two years with joy. Wanda was thrilled to attend Travis and Angela’s wedding and was so pleased to welcome her grandson, Raphael, to the family. She was looking forward to the arrival of another grandson in January. Family meant the world to Wanda. She adored them all … aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She formed many special bonds with her homecare personnel. They were not only her caregivers, they were her friends. Many of them showed up for their time with Wanda, a double/double in hand. Wanda faced her medical challenges without complaint. She was strong. She was inspiring. And she was very much loved by all who truly knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tracy Leveille (Camden Ness) of Weyburn, and their daughter Rayya; son, Travis (Angela) Leveille of Edmonton, AB and their son, Raphael and baby on the way; mother, Eileen Mann of Lampman, SK; brothers, Gord (Luanne), Garth (Jan), Rick (Lydia), Larry (Kim) and their families as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Wanda’s life was held Wednesday, September 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Agnes Smiley and Tracy Colwill officiating. Honourary Pallbearers were all in attendance, with special thanks to the staff of Weyburn Home Care. Interment will take place at Storthoaks Cemetery, Storthoaks, SK at a later date.
