A prairie athlete might not be the first person most people think of when they watch the sport of sailing, but for Kate Andrews, a former Weyburn local, she has a passion and enthusiasm for the sport.

Warren Glen Schweitzer late of Weyburn, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the age of 68 years. Warren was born December 5, 1942 in Regina. He worked as a teacher, a coach and a financial planner with the Investors Group.

Kaj Egon Sorensen passed away peacefully on November 10, 2011. Left to mourn the loss are his many family and friends in Canada and Denmark. Kaj was born in Baekke, Denmark in 1937 and was the eldest of two children.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of November 7 to 14: During the reporting period, police dealt with 110 calls for service. Many of the calls were alcohol related and several disturbances and motor vehicle accidents were attended.
