MIDALE — The annual Classy Car Show on Midale's Main Street once again proved to be a big attraction with antique vehicle enthusiasts and spectators alike.
Scott Stabenow with the car show said the event attracted 94 entries, which he believes is a record for a modern edition of the event. Last year he believes the show had more than 60 participants.
Steve Hoey from Carlyle won the People's Choice Award for his 1976 Dodge Warlock half-tonne truck.
"We had a very good variety [of entries], right from works in progress to finished vehicles to every make and model you can think of," said Stabenow.
Vehicles came from throughout southeast and south-central Saskatchewan, and many people dropped by to see the vehicles.
He thanked everybody who came out to watch the show.
A barbecued lunch, with hot dogs and hamburgers, was served during the car show. Proceeds will be directed to a new swimming pool for the town.
