ESTEVAN — The annual safety patroller dance for Estevan was held on the evening of May 22 at the Days Inn Estevan.
The Estevan Police Service said it was well attended and officers thanked the youths who volunteer their time as safety patrollers throughout the year. The EPS also applauds the local businesses that provide financial support to hold the dance.
The EPS also thanked the Days Inn for providing the venue and the soft drinks. The Estevan Lions Club supplied the pizza. DJ Dave Elliott handled the music.
"It is an amazing event to thank all of the patrollers who work hard all year long to keep their fellow students safe," the EPS said in an email to SaskToday.
The EPS also thanked the teachers who organize the programs in their schools, and the United Mine Workers of America Local 7606 who provide toques to all of the patrollers for the colder weather and to give added visibility.
