ESTEVAN — The annual Estevan Street Dance will have to head indoors due to forecasted wet weather.

In a video posted to Facebook on July 18, Robert Godfrey with the Estevan Downtown Business Association (DBA) revealed the Street Dance was moving from the 1100-block of Fourth Street to the Power Dodge Curling Centre.

Godfrey said the forecast wasn't favourable for the event; Environment Canada says precipitation is scheduled to hit the Estevan area in the evening of July 19 and continue into the overnight hours. So, the DBA has been working hard to ensure it can still offer the "party of the year" for Estevan.

Southeast cover band The Sad Dadz will open the event at 9 p.m., while Brayden King of Weyburn is scheduled to perform his first set starting at 11 p.m.

Godfrey noted that due to the change in location, space will be more limited and fewer tickets will be available. Approximately 800 tickets will be available.

"You want to make sure, if you haven't done so already … to get those tickets," said Godfrey.

Tickets are available at Henders Drugs. They cost $30 in advance and $40 at the door.
