The employees at St. Joseph’s Hospital is receiving praise from the East Coast for a recent touching tribute.

St. Joseph’s staff gathered at the hospital’s helipad recently and spelled out the letters NS while holding both the Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia provincial flags.

It was done as a message of support to their colleagues at Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro, N.S., following the tragic events on April 18 and 19 in rural Nova Scotia in which 22 people were killed in a rampage.

“Despite the distance, we are sending our thoughts, prayers and love to all of the people of your province,” St. Joseph’s wrote to the Nova Scotia hospital.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority shared the tribute on their Facebook page Friday morning, and it went viral in both provinces.
