Book sale

Many book lovers have a careful look at the long tables of books set out for the spring book sale at the Weyburn Public Library on Thursday in the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. The sale, which is held twice a year, ran until Saturday, and raises funds for new books and resources for the public library. The public is also being asked to support the library with the province-wide “Drop Everything and Read” protest event on Friday, April 7; the public is being asked to bring a book at noon to the office of MLA Dustin Duncan, located on Fourth Street next to the Family Place, where people will show their support of their public libraries with a read-in, as a protest of the cuts to the regional library system in Saskatchewan.
