REGINA – Police closed a section of 25th Avenue and Albert Street recently to investigate a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Just before 3 p.m. on June 19, police were called to that area for a report that a woman had been hit by a van.
"When they arrived, they found an injured elderly female victim who had been struck by a van at a low rate of speed," said RPS in a media release. "The victim was taken by EMS to hospital with minor injuries."
Police gave the driver of the van - who remained on the scene - a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
"The intersection was closed for several hours while officers conducted the investigation," RPS said.
