Members of the Estevan Police arrested an impaired driver Saturday night.
Police received a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the Edward Street area. Members located the vehicle a short time later and a 19-year-old man from Macoun is facing charges of driving while impaired by a drug and failing to comply with his release conditions.
He was released for court in July. His driver’s licence has been suspended indefinitely and the vehicle he was operating was impounded for 30 days.
But others on the roads were largely well behaved. In a tweet on the EPS Twitter page, the police said they were happy to see so many designated drivers Saturday night.
Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving without consideration for others on Henry Street. The owner of the vehicle has been charged under the Traffic Safety Act.
Police also conducted a traffic stop and located a 38-year-old woman who was found breaching conditions of her probation. She was charged accordingly and released for court.
