A GoFundMe campaign has been created to support a young girl from Estevan who has been diagnosed with brain cancer.
Olivia Willa Hirsch is only four years old and has been diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) brain cancer. She is currently at Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, fighting for her life with her loving parents Aaron and Jen Hirsch at her side.
“Brave little Olivia is also being cheered on by her siblings Colby and Bridget Hirsch, and many other family members,” wrote Dana Merchant, who started the campaign.
The Hirsch family asks you to please keep Olivia in your prayers.
On May 2, doctors inserted a shunt to drain fluid in her brain. She is receiving six weeks of radiation.
“All funds raised will be immensely appreciated, and will go directly to medical costs, medical supplies and general support for Olivia's fight against DIPG cancer.”
As of Friday afternoon, it had raised $31,850, thanks to the support of 242 donors.
The fundraiser has the hashtag #oliviasbravefight.
