INDIAN HEAD – One woman was killed and four more injured in a two-vehicle collision between a car and semi at the intersection of Range Road 2104 and Township Road 172 in the RM of Wolseley.
On Aug. 19, around 8 p.m. Indian Head received a report of the crash. Officers responded immediately along with local fire, EMS and STARS. Investigation determined a car and semi collided.
A passenger in the car was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. She has been identified as a 29-year-old female from Carry the Kettle First Nation. Her family has been notified, say RCMP.
A driver and three additional passengers were in the car at the time of the collision. The driver, an adult female, was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature. Two female passengers, an adult and a child, were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature. A third female passenger was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
The male driver and male passenger in the semi didn’t report injuries to police.
Indian Head RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
