Mother Nature took care of all of its creatures, supplying us all with tools we need for survival.
It ensured that curious pronghorns, which is literally translated as American antelope goats, have colours, suitable for their habitat, to mask them from the eyes of predators.
Besides, the eyes of pronghorns, which actually don’t belong to the antelope family (their closest living relatives are giraffes and the okapi), can see as far as six kilometres away, and they are also the second fastest runners in the world after cheetahs.
All that makes them pretty dangerous for southern Saskatchewan drivers travelling through currently brown fields, in which spotting a pronghorn and predicting its further actions becomes quite difficult.
