Six new cases of COVID-19 in the Estevan area

Estevan area sees several more new cases of COVID-19.

New cases of COVID-19 reported in the South East Zone 4.

ESTEVAN - The Saskatchewan Health Authority’s COVID-19 dashboard is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 virus on Friday for South East Zone 4, which includes Estevan.

There are currently 22 active cases of COVID-19 in the area.

There are 12 new cases to report in the South East region, with three in Zone 3, which includes Weyburn; two in Zone 2, which is north of Zone 4; and one in Zone 1, to the northwest of Zone 4.

A total of 64 cases are considered active in the South East.

Two more people in the South East have recovered.

One person is currently receiving inpatient care in hospital in the South East.

One hundred forty-five more tests were processed in the South East on Aug. 26. 

And another 123 doses of vaccine have been administered. There are now 55,488 people in the region who have been fully vaccinated.

Across the province, there were 258 new cases, two deaths and 105 more recoveries reported on Aug. 27. Ninety-seven people are in hospital in Saskatchewan.

Another 3,618 tests were processed and 2,822 doses of vaccine were administered.
