The Weyburn team was up and down in their round robin games. They won their first match of the tournament against Saskatoon JCVC Dynamite but ran into some turbulence losing to Swift Current and Saskatoon Smash back to back.

The girls rebounded, winning their final round robin game against Lloydminster.

Following a 2-2 start, Weyburn played a crossover game to get into tier one. They played a tough opponent in Regina QCVC Royal Black, but were able to come out victorious.

Sunday morning was the quarterfinal, where the girls played Saskatoon JCVC Fire. Weyburn had not won a game against this team all year, but came out ready to play. The two teams traded close wins in the first two games, setting up a third game. JCVC pulled out to a quick lead in the third and never looked back, handing Weyburn a 15-9 loss. Not wanting to end the tournament on a losing note, Weyburn went on to win their last two games against Lanigan and Moose Jaw.

This was a great result, with the girls finishing in fifth place in a 39 team field.
