Motocross racers from throughout southeast Saskatchewan and other communities were south of Alameda on Aug. 24 for the latest stop on the Trackside Motocross Association’s series.
There were two races in each division during the day, with drivers receiving 25 points for a first place finish, 22 for second and so on down the line.
Josh Nay was the winner of both races in the A Class, while William Merrett was second in both. Tyler Domes had the third-most points during the day.
Nay also took top spot in the veteran division, followed by Rocky Beauchesue and Bryce Friess in second and third, respectively.
Josh Alexander and Cole Barnstable each picked up a first and a second place finish in their B event races. Josh Higgs had the third-most points during the day.
In the C Class, Dylan Honig was the winner of both races. He has won every race in the C division this year. Connor Bendickson and Brett Branvold were tied for the second-most points on the day.
Honig was also the winner in the super mini division, with Connor Bendickson coming second in both races and Marcus Quigley taking third both times.
Travis King won both of the races in the two-stroke division, while Derek King was second in both races and Randy Franke was third each time out.
Laren Puhlmann and Emily Quigley each had a first and a second place finish in the women’s division, while Trista Stadnick was third in each feature.
William Merrett won both feature races in the youth division, Travis King was second on the day and JJ Barnstable came in third.
Connor Bendickson won the 85 cc class, followed by Marcus Quigley and Langston Gold in second, and third, respectively. Nathan Bendickson won the 65 cc class, thanks to first and second place finishes, while Brooks Milford was second and Boston Beauchesue was third.
In the 50 cc, Maxxum Oltean captured the most points on the weekend, with 44, followed by Park Russill with 43 and Ethan Fedroff and Eli Hickey tied for third with 40 each.
The program in Alameda was the fifth of seven for the South Corner Racing Circuit this season. The remaining races will be Sept. 21 in Carlyle and Sept. 28 in Estevan.
