Kamri Olfert scored early in the third to break a 2-2 tie and then Jacey Farr scored into an empty net with 30 seconds left to get the Bear Cats the win in Saskatchewan Female Bantam Hockey League action.

“They’ve been having some great practices in the last couple of weeks here,” said Bear Cats head coach Darryl Davis. “From the first practice till now has been a huge improvement and they played hard so it was a good game.”

The Bear Cats did a lot of the little things right in their win.

“I thought they moved the puck very well,” Darryl Davis said. “We had our D to D passes and we moved pretty good through the transitions, especially through the neutral zone.”

The Bear Cats’ next action is Saturday at Alameda against Weyburn Creekside. They play the following afternoon at Affinity Place against the Moose Jaw Mavericks.
