The Estevan TS&M bantam AA Bruins won a pair of games on the road on the weekend, defeating the Swift Current Broncos 4-3 on Saturday and the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-0 Sunday.
Mason Fichter and Mason Kukura scored less than a minute apart in the first period to give Estevan a 2-0 lead, but the Broncos responded with a goal in the first and two in the second to lead 3-2 after two.
Kaden Chrest’s tally with 4:36 to play in the third period tied the game, and Fichter’s second of the game less than a minute later was the winner.
Jackson Miller made 31 saves for the victory.
Chrest scored twice, including the game-winning goal 11 minutes into the first period, in the win over Moose Jaw. Fichter and James Mann had the other goals.
Joshua Bittman stopped all 25 shots he faced to get the win for the Bruins, whose record now stands at 13-9-0-2.
