The Atom Bear Cats were close but not quite Sunday afternoon at the Power Dodge Ice Centre. The Bear Cats (5-8-5) lost 6-5 to the Weyburn Blizzards (12-4-1) moments after tying the game with a goal with 10 seconds left.
The Bear Cats played at Weyburn Wednesday night against Weyburn AtoMc (3-10-3) and will have a few days off of league action until they return to the ice Feb. 3 for a pair of games against the Swift Current Lightning at 1:15 p.m. at the Power Dodge ice Centre and at 7 p.m. later that evening at Bienfait. They also play Feb. 4 against Swift Current at 10:45 a.m. back at the Ice Centre.
