Six different teams won games in the Big Six Hockey League during the past week.
The Redvers Rockets knocked off the Bienfait Coalers 4-1 on Nov. 22. Braden Magotiaux, Jon Naturkach, Francis Audette and Jordon Miller had the Redvers goals. Cody Matthewson was in net.
Taysen Holt was the goal scorer for the Coalers, who had Jackson Walliser between the pipes.
Also that night, the Kipling-Windthorst Oil Kings knocked off the Arcola-Kisbey Combines 7-5. Cole Hayhurst and Matt Bean each scored twice for the Oil Kings, while Carson Harcourt, James Gallagher and James Schaeffer also scored.
Austin Toth was in goal.
Greg Zohner, Rhett Palmer, Brayden Rowley, Dereck Fleck and Duane Hislop had the Combines goals.
Ryan Kulyk was the goalie.
Finally, the Carlyle Cougars knocked off the Midale Mustangs 6-2. Dakota Rose had a hat trick for the Cougars, who also had goals from Brent McLean, Billy Greenwood and Sam Mathewson.
(The name of Carlyle’s goalie was not available).
Steven Lindenbach had two goals for Midale, who started Talen King in goal.
Saturday saw two games. The Yellow Grass Wheat Kings blanked Kipling-Windthorst 11-0. Dylan Frey scored four times for Yellow Grass. Cole Rooney and Braden Mellon had two markers each, while Troy Miller, Tucker Neuberger and Kyle Myrglod were the other scorers.
Cameron Irwin earned the shutout in net.
Toth was the starter for the Oil Kings.
The Mustangs recovered from their loss to Carlyle to knock off the Wawota Flyers 8-6. Lindenbach, Cole Sjostrand and Kolby Fleury each scored twice for Midale, who also had goals from Garret Sherlock and Adam Ziegler.
Derek Tendler was in net.
Taylor Ernst scored two of Wawota’s goals. Mykel Biermann, Riley Riddell, Seth Poirier and Jarred Hicks also scored.
Kye Steinke was the goalie for the Flyers.
One game was played Nov. 26. The Carnduff Red Devils scored five times in the third period to knock off the Bienfait Coalers 5-1. Trevor Geiger scored twice for Carnduff, who also had goals from Blake McMillen, Brandon Trask and Sheldon Thompson. Cody Dumaine was in goal. Dylan Lay was the Coalers lone goal scorer. Jackson Walliser was in net.
Two games are scheduled for Nov. 29: Redvers at Kipling-Windthorst and Carnduff at Carlyle. Bienfait visits Wawota on Nov. 30, and Wawota is at Carnduff on Dec. 1.
Redvers hosts Arcola-Kisbey on Dec. 4.
