It hardly seems like November already but the Big Six Hockey League is getting underway very soon.
The nine-team league will welcome the Arcola/Kisbey Combines back to the league after a one-year absence. They play their first game of the season on the league's opening night, Friday Nov. 3 on the road against the Carlyle Cougars. Other games that night include the Bienfait Coalers at the Midale Mustangs, and the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings at the Oxbow Huskies. The Carnduff Red Devils, Redvers Rockets and Wawota Flyers begin their seasons in the week after that.
The regular season ends Feb. 10, with provincials and league playoffs coming later that month.
The Flyers are the two-time defending champions of the league after defeating the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings 4-0 in the league's final series in March.
