Blustery weather doesn't stop Football Day in Estevan

A day that started off with the Estevan Power Dodge atom Cudas tying Weyburn 12-12, ended with the Estevan Lions Club bantam Oilers battle with the Swift Current Steelers.

A day that started off with the Estevan Power Dodge atom Cudas tying Weyburn 12-12, ended with the Estevan Lions Club bantam Oilers battle with the Swift Current Steelers.

And in between there were a lot of frozen toes, red faces and chilly players and parents at Woodlawn Field.

Weather was not on the side of Penta Completions Estevan Minor Football day, that also included a blowout loss by the Century 21 peewee Chargers to the Weyburn peewee Eagles and a 57-28 loss by the Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs to the Weyburn Eagles.

The day also included some big hits, penalties, fumbles, fumble recoveries, a few interceptions and a whole lot of gridiron play in chilly weather.
