Brent Gedak’s run at the 2020 SaskTel Tankard men’s provincial curling championship came to an end Saturday morning.

The Gedak rink, which also included third Jason Ackerman, second Derek Owens and lead Curtis Horwath, went 3-3 at the Tankard in Melville, which started Wednesday afternoon.

Their opening game was an 8-5 loss to Jeff Hartung Wednesday, but Gedak then rattled off back to back wins, defeating Samuel Willis 13-3 in seven ends and Brady Kendel 8-7. Gedak scored three in the 10th to edge Kendal.

A 6-5 loss to Kody Hartung left Gedak in the C event. He defeated Brad Heidt 9-3 in five ends, but then lost 11-9 to Joshua Heidt in the C semifinal, ending Gedak’s tournament.

The Tankard will end Sunday afternoon.
