Estevan Bruins goaltender Keenan Rancier has been named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Goaltender of the Month for September and October.
Rancier compiled a .933 save percentage and posted a 2.21 goals against average to go along with a 5-6-2-1 record and one shutout.
He did more than his part to give his team a chance to win as he allowed two goals or less in 11 of 14 appearances.
The shutout was a 28-save performance against the Nipawin Hawks on Oct. 5.
That game marked the beginning of a three-game win streak.
Rancier was also part of the October Saves initiative for the fight against cancer. He donated 25 cents for each of the 270 saves he made during the month and raised a total of $660 through pledges and flat donations.
