Bruins have Klippers on the ropes

While a stranglehold will get one kicked out of many mixed martial arts matches, the Power Dodge Estevan Bruins have taken a 3-0 stranglehold in their best-of-seven first round series with the Kindersley Klippers with a 5-0 win Tuesday night in Kinderlsey.

Hayden Guilderson scored two, with Jake Fletcher, Arthur Miller and Tanner Manz scoring the others for the Bruins, who will play the Klippers Wednesday night in a potentially decisive Game 4. The Bruins went 4-for-6 on the power play, with the Klippers going 0-for-4.

Bruins goaltender Bo Didur got the shutout in net. 

In the other series, the Battlefortds North Stars took a 3-0 lead with a 4-1 victory in Weyburn against the Red Wings, the Humboldt Broncos won 4-1 at home against the Melfort Mustangs to take a 2-1 series lead, and the Nipawin Hawks lost 3-2 to the Flin Flon Bombers but still have a 2-1 series lead.
