Bruins lose to Terriers in overtime

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins are entering a break in the schedule on a disappointing note.

The Bruins (15-17-2) lost 3-2 in overtime in Yorkton against the Terriers (17-10-1) Tuesday night, despite leading the Viterra Division-leading Terriers late in the third period.

Jayden Davis scored the go-ahead goal for the Bruins at 14:26 of the second period with an assist from TJ Irey. 

With the Terriers’ goaltender Ryan Ouellette pulled and on the power play with a 1:08 left in regulation, the Terriers’ Colby Brandt tied it up.

At 1:46 of 3-on-3 overtime, Cody Bruchkowski scored the winning goal.

Grant Boldt made 27 saves in the Bruins net. Turner Ripplinger scored the Bruins’ other goal at 9:32 of the first period.

The Bruins’ next action won’t be until Dec. 12 in Melville against the Millionaires. Their next home game will be Dec. 18 against the Terriers.
