The Bruins celebrate a win on home ice earlier in their series with the Kindersley Klippers

The Power Dodge Estevan Bruins have clinched their spot in the second round of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs as they won 3-2 Wednesday in Kindersley to sweep the Klippers in four straight games.

Michael McChesney, Jake Fletcher and Kaelan Holt each scored goals for Estevan, who reaches the second round of the playoffs for the second consecutive season. The Bruins never trailed at any point in their first round series with the much bigger, physically imposing Klippers but Game 4 was the closest of the series.

The Bruins’ next series won’t be known until after the first round in the rest of the series are over.
