Friday’s action saw the Carnduff Red Devils defeat the Wawota Flyers 5-2, the Redvers Rockets double up the Carlyle Cougars 6-3 and the Yellow Grass Wheat Kings knock off the Bienfait Coalers 6-2 in a rematch of last year’s league semifinal series.

Matt Audette scored twice for Carnduff. Devon Carriere, Mark Moriarty and Brandon Trask also scored.

Trevor Stewart and Riley Riddell had Wawota’s goals.

Kenton Miller had a hat trick in Redvers’ win over Carlyle. Koltyn Miller, Jordan Miller and Brady Gaudet had the other Rockets goals.

Ben Johnstone scored twice for the Cougars. Jake Matthewson notched the other goal.

Braden Mellon scored twice for the Wheat Kings. Tucker Neuberger, Cole Rooney, Brad Riege and Jesse Watson were the other goal scorers.

Dylan Herzberg had both goals for the Coalers.

Games on Saturday night were Wawota over the Kipling Windthorst Oil Kings 5-2 in the Oil Kings first game of the season, Carlyle edged Carnduff 5-4 in a shootout, and the Midale Mustangs beat the Arcola Kisbey Combines 7-4.

Justin Lamontagne scored twice to lead the Wawota offence. Riddell, Stewart and Brady Dinwoodie had the other goals.

Drew Schiller and Aaron Roth scored for the Oil Kings.

Devon McGonigal scored twice for Carlyle as the Cougars handed the Red Devils their first loss of the season. Mark Shaw and Dakota Ross notched Carlyle’s other goals.

Brandon Trask, Devon Carriere, Sheldon Thompson and Matt Audette had Carnduff’s goals.

Adam Ziegler and Logan Martinson each scored twice in the second period for Midale. Connor Burk and Tyler Hoium had the other goals.

Duane Hislop scored twice for the Combines. Jarred Taylor and Derek Fleck notched the other goals.
