Carlisle places third at MLJGT stop in Portage

Estevan’s golfers did very well last weekend at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s stop in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, as they get ready to have a tournament at their own course.

Jace Carlisle finished third in the juvenile boys division with scores of 77 and 77 over the two-day event. Carlisle was nine strikes behind winner Josh Nagy of Saskatoon. Chase Gedak was in a three-way tie for fifth in that division (79-80-159), and Drew Fenwick was 14th (85-86-171).

Reegan Robinson was third in the junior boys division with scores of 80 and 80, nine strokes behind Deer Valley’s Cole Obrigewitsch.  

TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course will be hosting the next stop of the Maple Leaf tour May 19-20. The MJT Golf Sask. Order of Merit Series Presented by PLYR will also serve as a qualifier to the IMG Academy Junior Worlds Golf Championship in San Diego later this year, as well as the US Kids Golf World Teen Short-List
