Coaler Rollers compete in Brandon

Members of the Estevan Coaler Rollers junior roller derby team travelled to Brandon on Saturday to play a couple of games. The Level 3 skaters played first and won their game 232-180 over the Manitoba Misfits.

Members of the Estevan Coaler Rollers junior roller derby team travelled to Brandon on Saturday to play a couple of games.

The Level 3 skaters played first and won their game 232-180 over the Manitoba Misfits. Eve Marum, who competes under the name Eve of Destruction, was named the most valuable jammer of the game, while Abby Renkas, whose derby name is Bubbagasmoosh, was the top blocker in the contest.

The Level 1/2 team played next against the Brandon Frostbite, and won by a score of 184-144. The top jammer of the game was Maleah Daoust, whose derby name is Mammoth Crusher, and the top blocker Havanna White, who skates under the name of Moosifer.

The games marked their final competition of the season.

Their last event before the summer will be their Black and Pink scrimmage on June 18 at 4:30 p.m. at the Bienfait Memorial Arena. The Coaler Rollers will be divided into two teams for an intersquad game.
