The Estevan Coyotes were the winners of the Estevan and Weyburn Recreation Adult Soccer League’s women’s division.
The Coyotes defeated the Weyburn Sonics 2-1 in the final on Aug. 21 to capture the league title. The Estevan Jaguars won 4-3 in a shootout over the Estevan Foxes in the third place game.
Women’s teams played their games on Monday and Wednesday nights.
The men’s league had enough players for two teams that played pick-up games twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
The league started playing its games after the Victoria Day long weekend in May, and continued playing until mid-August. Games were played at Woodlawn Athletic Park.
