The Estevan Comprehensive School cheer team were the best of the province after winning the grand championship after provincials.
They finished with a score of 90.1 out of 95 last weekend in Saskatoon. A total of 1,400 athletes from across the province competed, and the ECS cheer team were tops in the Small Senior II schools. That field that included Saskatoon’s Tommy Douglas, Birch Hills, Yorkton Regional, Weyburn, Regina’s Winston Knoll, North Battleford’s John Paul II and Regina’s Thom Collegiate. Their top score not only won their division but was also the best score at the 12th annual Saskatchewan Cheerleading Association champioships.
