A member of the Estevan Comprehensive School Elecs badminton team has advanced to the upcoming provincial tournament.
Ruth Pecson won the girls singles competition at the regional playdowns in Melville on Saturday. She will compete at provincials in Swift Current next weekend.
Also competing for the Elecs were Maya Daoust and Tayce Miller in mixed doubles. They finished third in their pool.
