The Elecs defeated the Weyburn Comprehensive School Eagles in the annual four-game showdown between the two schools' senior basketball teams.
The Eagles actually won the two games played in Weyburn on Wednesday night, as the Eagles' senior girls won 65-57, and their senior boys' won 74-66, leaving the best-of-four series tied at 2-2. But Estevan outscored Weyburn 272-260 over the course of the four games to win the series.
Estevan had a 28-point lead entering Wednesday night's action in Weyburn.
The senior girls fell behind 19-14 after the first quarter, and 34-21 at half-time. Estevan narrowed the gap slightly in the third quarter, and trailed 53-43, and wound up dropping an eight-point decision.
In the senior boys' game, the Eagles outscored the Elecs in all four quarters, but couldn't pull away.
