This year's Estevan Oilfield Technical Society's (OTS) Oilwomen's golf tournament, which will be held on July 21 at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course, is sure to be a great time once again.
Cindy Romanyk, long time committee member, is excited to be one of the organizers of the 19th annual event, “I think the industry should be very proud of the success the Oilwomen's Golf Tournament continues to have.”
“We've had terrific response from the women, as well as the sponsors,” states tournament organizer, Carla Friess. “Due to the downturn in the oil and gas industry in our area, the tournament is being opened to include women who have worked in the industry within the past 12 months.”
Tanya George, committee member, says, “The tournament is once again a Texas scramble with a shotgun start. Since the tournament is a Texas scramble, it is a terrific opportunity for women that don't golf to come out, give it a try, have lots of fun, meet new people in the industry, and win some wonderful prizes.”
The committee members would like to thank the business community for their continued support as well as the Estevan Oilfield Technical Society for sponsoring the event. That includes sponsorship of many great prizes, hole-in-one sponsors, and refreshment stops at the tournament.
