Several players from the Estevan Sharks water polo teams have joined with the National Championship League’s 14U teams over the next couple of months.
The teams will be part of an attempt to get into the Western Finals in Edmonton in May.
The Prairie Boys were able to get a 4-0 record at the first NCL Prairie League competition in Regina last weekend, winning games 19-4, 12-6, 12-8 and 7-4. They include locals Cameron Gillingham, Lucas Dzeryk, Logan Dalziel, Ethan Elliott, Dierks Milford, Kristian Baniulis, Tristan Threinen, Nathan Threinen, Lyndon Sauder, Joshua Heleta and Jace Carritt.
The Prairie Girls were also 4-0 on the weekend winning their games 5-4, 17-2, 8-4 and 13-2. They include Josie Andrist, Alex Andrist, Mikayla Hack, Maria Baniulis, Breanna Sinclair, Gabriella Jocelyn, Emily Tarnes and Katryna Heleta.
The youngest team, the 14U girls Saskitas, were 0-3 during the tournament. They have Sadie Smith Emily Sauder, Lily Knoll, Tayla Gervais and Jordyn Tarnes on their team.
These teams next action will be at the 14U NCL Prairie League comeptition this weekend in Regina.
