The Huddle Up Foundation and the Knights of Columbus are pleased to announce the launch of Geroy's Coats 4 Kids 2014.
Last year was the inaugural Geroy's Coats 4 Kids campaign. Because of Rider Nation's generosity, thousands of coats were put on deserving children in the province. Still, there were not enough coats to meet demand, and some children went without this basic necessity.
With the help of the Knights of Columbus, the Huddle Up Foundation is taking Geroy's Coats 4 Kids across the province in the "Coat Off My Back" campaign. The concept is simple - take to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to share the story of the coat you are going to give to Geroy's cause, and the friends you are nominating in a short video. Please use the hashtag #coatoffmyback when sharing.
Not a single kid should go to school cold this winter, so please help spread awareness of this important initiative.
On October 3, 2014, before the Saskatchewan Roughriders' home game against the Calgary Stampeders (8:00 p.m. kick-off), please bring your new and gently-used winter coats to the Pre-game Fan Fest for collection. Attendees will be treated to a special Geroy's Coats 4 Kids concert by country music star Jason Blaine in celebration of this year's campaign.
