The TS&M Woodlawn Golf Club is closed due to the storm that struck southeast Saskatchewan on Thursday afternoon.

The storm hit just before 4 p.m., and dumped heavy rain and hail on the region. Some portions of the golf course were flooded. It also brought heavy winds that knocked over some trees.

The golf course said in a Facebook post on Thursday that it was closed. It also asked people to stay off the golf course due to safety issues.

Updates will be posted as well.

The Woodlawn Regional Park also sustained damage due to the storm. A cleaning bee is underway at the Souris River site, and is expected to continue until noon. Another cleaning bee is expected to happen at the Boundary Dam site from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
