WEYBURN - The Weyburn Iron Pigs defeat the Regina Dodgers in game two of the Qu'Appelle Valley Baseball League semi final 3-0. Game two of the best-of-three series was held at Tom Laing Park on August 23.
Luke Niemegeers went six solid innings allowing zero runs and striking out 10. Troy Miller led the Iron Pig bats with two hits and two RBIs.
With the win the Iron Pigs move on to the QVBL final for the third year in a row. Their opponent and game times for the final will be either the Regina Trappers or the Regina Ghosts, who have two games of their best-of-three series scheduled for Thursday, August 25.
