With a soild first end, Northern Ontario's Brad Jacobs has assumed the early lead at the men's final of the Home Hardware Canada Cup.
Jacobs leads 3-2 over Kevin Koe at the fifth end break Sunday night at Affinity Place.
After a blank second end, Koe and Jacobs traded singles in the third and fourth ends. Then, in the fifth end time seemed to run out before Kevin Koe's last shot, which was too long anyway.
Timing has been an issue for some of the skips, who are dealing with four minute ends instead of a set time for a total of 10 ends for the first time.
