Tanner Jeannot has parlayed his career season in the Western Hockey League (WHL) into a contract with one of the top organizations in the National Hockey League.
Jeannot, an Oxbow product who played minor hockey in Estevan, has signed a three-year entry level contract with the Nashville Predators that takes effect at the start of the 2018-19 season.
A 20-year-old forward, Jeannot has spent the past four seasons with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL, amassing 170 points in 267 regular-season games and 18 points in 23 postseason contests. As an alternate captain in 2017-18, Jeannot ranked third in the WHL in plus/minus with a plus 49, and set career highs with 40 goals and 80 points, helping the club to a 52-15-5 record in the regular season, and the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as the top team in the regular season.
