Estevan’s novice, peewee and midget lacrosse teams had victories in recent Queen City Minor Box Lacrosse League action.

The novice Vipers went into Weyburn and emerged with a 3-2 victory over the Thrashers No. 2 team on Tuesday night, improving their record to 2-3.

Carson Seemann opened the scoring with 2:57 to play in the first period, but Weyburn tied the game in the final minute.

The Estevan Peewee Voltz picked up two dominant wins over Regina teams on Saturday at the Power Dodge Ice Centre.

First was a 7-2 win over the Regina Honeybadgers. Shaun Von Sprecken scored four minutes into the game to open the scoring, and added another goal six minutes later to give the Voltz a 2-0 lead after the first period.

Tayson Dietz scored early in the second for a 3-0 advantage, and then Von Sprecken notched his third of the game before the period was out.

The Honeybadgers tallied early in the third, but goals by Kersey Hollingshead, Corey Lemcke and Chase Foord 56 seconds apart gave the Voltz a commanding six-goal lead. Regina would get one more before the game was over.

The other win was a 13-1 drubbing over the Regina Axemen. Hollingshead scored 70 seconds into the game, and then Foord, Von Sprecken and Lemcke notched goals to give the Voltz a 4-0 lead at the end of the first.

Nathan Wagstaff, Hollingshead and Ryder Davison scored in the second for a 7-0 advantage.

The Voltz poured it on in the third, as Davidson, Wagstaff and Foord scored less than a minute apart for a 10-0 lead, and then Cash Millions, Von Sprecken and Thomas Harrison scored before the game was finished.

Regina’s only goal came in the final three minutes of the contest.

Kade Bachorcik’s goal with two seconds to play in the second put Estevan back in the lead, and seemed to change the complexion of the game.

Cale Adams scored 15 seconds into the third to restore the two-goal lead, and Dukart scored five minutes into the final frame for the Thunder’s first three-goal lead of the day. It remained a 5-2 game until the final seven minutes, when Dukart scored again, and Kayden Ludwig scored twice to round out the scoring.
