A local curling team is off to the women’s provincial Travellers Curling Club Championship.
The women’s provincial tournament, designed for competitive club-level curlers March 16-19 in Humboldt, has Estevan’s rink of skip Taylor Marcotte, third Deanna Marcotte, second Helen Fornwald and lead Pauline Ziehl Grimsrud from the Power Dodge Curling Centre.
At the championship, they will be in a two pool, five team round robin beginning Friday evening, with draws going Saturday and Sunday. If there are no tiebreakers, the final will go at 2 p.m. Monday.
The men’s tournament is going on simultaneously at the Humboldt Curling Club.
