The South East midget AA Goldwings suffered a rare loss in Saskatchewan Female Hockey League play when they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Regina Rebels on Jan. 26.
The Goldwings took the lead 49 seconds into the game on a goal by Karleigh MacKenzie, and Marci LeBlanc doubled the lead with a goal midway through the first.
But the Rebels scored three times in the first 10 minutes of the second, and put the game away by scoring in the final minute of the third.
Kara Zelyck was in goal for the Goldwings, whose record is 15-2, which leaves them first in the midget AA loop.
Their next game is Feb. 5 against the Notre Dame Hounds in Wilcox.

The Carlyle midget A Wildcats (1-15-3) dropped a 3-1 decision to the Wood River Ice Cats on Jan. 26. Kassidy Johnson had the Wildcats lone goal.
Kaili Adams was in goal for the game.
The two teams were scheduled to play the following day in Lafleche. (Results were not available).

The Estevan bantam Bearcats (5-11-4) dropped a 6-2 decision to the Balcarres Barracudas on Jan. 26.
Kiley Davis and Hannah Terrett scored the goals for the Bearcats.
Emmey Rae was in goal for the game.
Their next game is Feb. 4 against the Parkland Fire.

The Estevan peewee Bearcats played the Parkland Fire to a 4-4 tie in Melville on Jan. 26.
Kaylin Wilhelm and Lauren Hassler each scored twice in the game. Their second goals came 69 seconds apart in the first two minutes of the third period, and gave the Bearcats a 4-3 advantage. But the Fire tallied late in the third to tie the game.
Riley Scott was the goalie.
Estevan’s record is 7-9-1. They will visit the Weyburn Angels on Feb. 1.
