Minor Ball association give annual awards to players

The Weyburn Minor Ball Association held their annual awards night on Sept. 22. The Eugene Emberley award, for a graduating male player combining sportsmanship, ability, courteous conduct and academic standing, was awarded to Carver Krafchuk.

The Mel Bisset award, for a graduating female player combining sportsmanship, ability, courteous conduct and academic standing, was presented to Alex Ripplinger.

The most dedicated umpire awards went to Holden Kopec for the junior level and Shaun Fraser for the senior level.

Other awards were presented in the different divisions. In the squirt girls division, the Mini Blue Jays awarded the most dedicated player to Shayla Moore and most improved player to Dakota Bowler. The Sox awarded the most dedicated player to Emma Stadnick and most improved player to Macy Cugnet.

In the mosquito boys division, the Beavers awarded most dedicated player to Donavon Mellon and most improved player to Brandon Stadnick. The Sox awarded most dedicated player to Ben Manning and most improved player to Hayden Vandermey. The Reds awarded most dedicated player to Marco Casavant and most improved player to Ulriko Zukas.

The Mosquito AA Beavers awarded the most improved player to Seth Davis, most sportsmanlike player to McLaren Keslering and most valuable player to Rylan Erb.

In the peewee girls division, the Long Creek Haulters awarded most improved player to Payton Oberg, most sportsmanlike player to Vanessa Cherpin and most valuable player to Krista Smith. In the peewee boys division, the Royals awarded most dedicated player to Matthew Dutchak and most improved player to Matthew Wall.

The Sluggers awarded most dedicated player to Bemnet Frederick and most improved player to Brady Keeler.

The peewee AA Youngfellow Beavers awarded most improved player to Brett Bowler, most sportsmanlike player to Hudson Neuberger and most valuable player to Kyle Perras.

In the bantam and midget girls division, the house team awarded most dedicated player to Alexis Dupuis and most improved player to Ashlynn Colbow. In the bantam boys division, the Sluggers awarded most dedicated player to Riley Croal and most improved player to Alex Van Staveren.

In the bantam boys division, the AA Beavers awarded the most improved player to Jaxon Robertson, the most sportsmanlike player to Rhett Nikolejsin and the most valuable player to Luke Nimegeers.

The under 18 Youngfellow AA girls awarded the most improved player to Erica Robertson, the most sportsmanlike player to Madison Kot and the most valuable player to Hannah Hextall.

In the midget boys division, the AA Beavers awarded the most improved player to Austin Neiszner, the most sportsmanlike player to DJ Englot and most valuable player to Cam Evans.
