Kevin Wanner releases a female pheasant after it was banded, onto the Kim Oxelgren farm south of Goodwater on Aug. 26. Around 450 male and female pheasants, along with 1,250 Hungarian partridges, were trucked in that day from a breeding farm in Wisconsin, and were banded and released on various farm locations in the Goodwater area by organizers for the Bird Doggin' Classic, which will be held in Goodwater on Saturday, Oct. 18.
