With the final games of the Saskota Baseball League regular season out of the way, the league playoffs will be getting underway this weekend.
The top eight teams in the league have been placed into the Harbourne Memorial Tournament, with the top four teams getting a home date Friday before the tournament continues Saturday and Sunday in Kenosee.
The Wawota Pats (7-11) travel to Estevan to play the Tower Wolves (13-4-1) starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The other games, all starting at 6:30 p.m., will see the Redvers A's (7-9-2) going to Caryle to play the Cardinals (12-3-3), the Carnduff Astros (8-9-1) playing at the Arcola Threshers (12-5-1_, and the Kenosee Cubs (8-7-3) playing at the Oxbow Chiefs (10-4-4).
Games continue until the gold medal game Sunday at 6 p.m. at Kenosee.
The Senior Tier II Saskatchewan Baseball Association provincials will take place in Yorkton Aug. 11-13. Taking part in that tournament from the Saskota League will be Carlyle, the Tower Wolves and Oxbow. Carnduff will travel to Unity that weekend for the Tier III provincials, and Kenosee and Arcola will go to Standard Hill for the Tier IV provincials.
The Windthorst Pirates (3-12-3) are hosting Tier V provincials this year, with Redvers also taking part.
